The static IP of the DVR is an internal static IP that will be provided by the home router. You do not need a static IP from BSNL. So you do not need to change to a business plan.
I have a Blu-Ray player at home that I have connected to the internet. It gets the IP address from my home router. I can do firmware updates online. I can watch BD-Live! content using internet. But since my internet speed is limited (512 kbps), it (BD-Live!) is not good enough.

Try port forwarding and enter DVR IP address.
i even did port forwarding and entered in it dvr ip address..what to do next?
after i did port forwarding ..i created a new rule to allow remote acess to por t 80 but when i tried to check by using this tool of port forward provided by dydns site it says An attempted connection to 117.xxx.xx.xx:80 timed out. This typically indicates that traffic to that port is being actively blocked by either a firewall or your ISP.
i have alredy cretaed a new rule in windows firewall for tht though
wheres the problem?
