Thread: BSNL broadband on 4 computers simaltaneously

Hi friends,
I am new to this forum and I am asking my first question here. I have recently taken BSNL broadband connection with a monthly rental of 900. That gives me speed up to 4 Mbps for the first 8 gb and beyond 8 gb it will give me upto 256 Kbps. Now, my question is, I want to use my internet connection on 4 computers at a time. I have ZTE ZXDSL 531B model which has 4 ethernet ports. I have connected my 3 desktops directly to the those ports and I connect my laptop to my model wia wireless channel.

Still, I am not able to properly share my connection when all 4 computers are on. It works fine with 2 computers.

I have been a regular visitor of this forum and this forum has always been spot on in answering my questions. Would you guys please throw a lil light on this issue as well.

You should be connected in "Always On" PPP/PPPoE mode
( userID and PW entered in wan page of modem )

Enable dhcp in modem. Give a range. say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10

In all systems TCP/IP properties
Select Obtain IP address automatically

Yep. Configure the modem in PPPoE. Follow the steps mentioned above.
