Thread: Speed of net not increased

Dear, I am having broadband with home unlimited connection. Recently BSNL announced that the downloading speed for unlimited plan has increased from 256kbps to 512 kbps for this plan but I am having the previous speed. I have made a complaint to the BSNL office but they are not able to make it possible. How can I be able to do this? Kindly suggest me.

If the problem from BSNL side then only SDE or DE internal can help you. Talk to them.
But first you have to be sure that your side is OK.
First check what is your Line rate speed show to you. Go to your ADSL GUI pages by typing address http://192.168.1.1 and check the Upload line rate and download line rate.
Minium line rate require for your plan for upload rate 256Kbps and Downlaod rate 2048Kbps. Check and reply here what you see your line rate and also like to know your BSNL IP address, is it 117 or 59.

Please mention your plan. Is it UL 750 ? Me too using the same plan, got upgraded automatically. Talk to the Senior divisional engineer at your exchange. Only a technical person can help you on this.

If nothing works, a written complaint to nodal officer or appellate authority might work. ID and phone no on the backside of your bill.
