Default PLEASE HELP How to repair/Unbrick utstarcom ut300r2u router?

I upgraded the firmware of my router which was given from bsnl. After firmware upgrade my router stopped responding. Only DSL light is glowing without a dsl connection. Power, internet, Ethernet, usb.. all led down. What to do? Warranty period is over. Firmware downloaded from bsnl website. 192.168.1.1 is not loading. i tried to reset from the pinhole in back, but no use.

try reset the modem, remove the incoming line from the splitter to the modem.
just connect the system and the modem with the LAN cable provided and try configuring it with 192.168.1.1. if it fails, then just take the modem to ur JTO. he will think about it...

Another case of bad luck due to BSNL automatic diversion to motive.bsnl.in site.
There is no need to upgrade the firmware if the system is working fine. It is not like upgrading to Windows 7 from Windows XP.

Try talking to BSNL and try if you can get a replacement.

It is safe not to attempt firmware update on a working router. Anyhow are you within the warranty period? Take it to the local exchange they might have the necessary equipment to restore your modem to the working condition.
