Hi
I've taken BSNL 2799 plan, which has given me one static IP (Public IP).
Say 59.x.y.z
Subnet 255.255.255.0
The modem for internet connection is 110TC1.
I want to host the webserver on the computer connected to this modem. My computer has a private static IP 192.168.1.3 (Subnet 255.255.255.0)
For this I went to router Admin console, Advanced, NAT , Virtual Server and added a rule with following parameter.
Virtual Server for: Single IP Account
Rule Index:1
Application:HTTP server
Protocol:TCP
Start Port Number:8080
End Port Number:8080
Local IP Address:192.168.1.3
I've disabled firewall on my machine and restarted router
Now when I try to access url 59.x.y.z:8080 on browser it is not forwarding 192.168.1.3.
1)Can anyone help in fwd this IP?
2)Can I use port 80 for port forward, current when I type public static IP on browser , it takes me to modem admin console
One thing I noticed that virtual server configurattion never ask for internal port for forwarding. It only ask start port and end port.
Anuj
