Thread: Frequent disconnections

from last 6-7 days m facing frequent disconnections...

dsl starts blinking at 5-10...

please help

m thinking of resetting the modem..should i?
thell me what i need to configure after resetting

1. Please mention modem - model and make.

2. Check your SNR and attenaution values. Make sure that you are not using a line with too many joints and no insulation areas.

3. Check the adapter of your modem. If you can borrow from your friend, it will do.

4. Make sure all lines come after splitter. Bypass the splitter, connect directly to the modem and check.

5. Check your modem. If possible, get a friends' modem and check.

already checked splitter...everything fine with the splitter

all joints are well insulated..

two joints between modem n splitter..

Reset the modem, that seems to be the only way out. Check essbebe's signature. You will find a guide for your modem. Most modems have similar firmware. Brands may be different though. I am not familiar with your modem.
