    hi there, i got a new BSNL broadband connection, they provided me a configured new AR800V-v3.0 modem, as i have used tata indicom for last 6 yrs and various times configured it, i thought bsnl being pre configured , it would be joining wires only, but it turned out to be night mare.

    i connected all the wires, and my system says iam connected to the internet, but i cant browse, when ever i type a website address, it says address not valid, also when i digonised the internet connection problem, it says there some error with DNS server, also when i saw the whole configured status, it says PPPOE not configured.

    i would be glad if someone can help me. also in the AR800V-v3.0 modem 4lights are glowing steadily (lan, wlan, dsl,internet)

    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME.

    BSNL Broadband sucks man. i had it and canceled it. it worked fine for 1 full year but when suddenly a problem came, non of the BSNL guys could fix it. their engineer came many time, even they changed my cable but it was of no use...
    even they didn't know why it doesn't work...

    Error 691: Password Incorrect!!!
    your username or password is incorrect. get it verified from BSNL customer care / ur local exchange.

    if possible, get a friend with experience in dealing with such a connection, to help you out.

    @javac
    You are on "Dialer" Mode.
    Presume you enter Id and PW correctly.
    You can try PPP/PPPoE mode.
    Item 6.
    Post connection status page. from modem.
    There are two models issued by BSNL>

    Error 691 only comes when
    1) ur user id or password is incorrect, or
    2) due to non payment of bill

    if u r sure with both of the above then complain at customer care
    dont waste ur time in configuring modem, nothing will happen.

    @javac
    Your screen shot shows that you are connected to BSNL ISP through PPPOE dialer
    either your problem is sloved or you are confused.
