Default New connection problem with AR800V-v3.0 modem

hi there, i got a new BSNL broadband connection, they provided me a configured new AR800V-v3.0 modem, as i have used tata indicom for last 6 yrs and various times configured it, i thought bsnl being pre configured , it would be joining wires only, but it turned out to be night mare.

i connected all the wires, and my system says iam connected to the internet, but i cant browse, when ever i type a website address, it says address not valid, also when i digonised the internet connection problem, it says there some error with DNS server, also when i saw the whole configured status, it says PPPOE not configured.

i would be glad if someone can help me. also in the AR800V-v3.0 modem 4lights are glowing steadily (lan, wlan, dsl, internet)

    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME.

    1. Where you ever able to connect to net ? If it is a improperly configured modem, try this link

    http://calcuttatelephones.com/dataoneinstall/mu12.html

    2. Change DNS values to 208.67.222.222, 8.8.8.8.

    3. Which mode are you in ? PPPoE or Bridge ? If in bridge, you need to configure a dialer to connect to internet.

It appears your dns entries do not belong to BSNL.
( tataindicom ?) as shown in ipconfig /all

As advised in Post No 2
    Change to 8.8.8.8 and8.8.4.4
or select dns address automatically. ( in tcp/ip properties)

Can you access modem settings ?
    1.
Did you see the link "Teracom" given in my signature link/s?
    2.
    Follow instructions here. ( except No 2 dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 )
Teracom Type-II ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION
    3.
confirm you got LAN mode working.
    4.
Confirm modem/router menu similar to this.

    AR800V-v3.0 modem

    5
    .try tcp/ip optimizer from speedguide.net..
    6.
The mod mode ( modulation mode ) is changed to GDMT , instead of ADSL2+
SNR/ATTN improve slightly and you may get a stable connection.
    7.
.You had not confirmed item No 4.
    8.
    Check speed here
    http://mybroadbandspeed.co.uk

    and give your data
or link ( no spaces omit http://)

    1Mbps speed 128KB/sec 2 Mbps 256 KB/sec
    (*conditions apply !

Mention the site where you tested your speed.
Annex as jpg picture or give the forum link.

Take care when typing speed as kbps or KBps or Kbps or mbps

Your report of 2 mbps (2 Mbps)can be taken as 256KB/sec speed .
    and 130kbps divided by 8 will be approx 15 KB/sec or 16 KB/sec
    download speed.
