I am unable to access my modem configuration page. After using ipconfig in cmd ,my default gateway is shown as 0.0.0.0 How to solve this problem and access my modem configuration page.? Plz Help!

@essbebe:- No i am not having any problems connecting to the internet. All is working fine.
I need to access my modem's configuration page. For this I think i need to enter my default gateway which in all cases is generally (192.168.1.1). But mine is showing 0.0.0.0 .
Here are the stats:-
Default gateway-0.0.0.0
Subnet mask 255.255.255.255
Autoconfiguration-Enabled
NetBios over Tcip:-Disbaled.
DHCp enabled-No
Physical address-Yes.
Node type :-Hybrid.
Ip routing enabled:-No.
Wins proxy enabled:-No.

Probably you are on Dialer mode.
(User ID and PW entered in Computer window).

When you connect to Internet check your "Dynamic"IP.
myIPaddress.com: What is my IP address? How do I find my IP address?.
say 117.xx.xx.xx
Enter it in the browser.
You will get a window to access your modem.


Check the LAN address allotted .to modem.
Check my signature link 192.168.1.1.

My ipaddress is(as seen from the link is):-117.194.160.151

When i enter my ip in my browser, nothing comes up. Just the error messgae:-

What to do now?

Seems you are on "Dialer" mode. See No 1 in post No 5.
Go to wan page un check " Bridged" and select PPP/PPPoE.
see No 2 link for settings.Post No 3.

How will I access the wan page?

Anyways, i think I am using PPPoe.Check the scrn if its correct.

Yes i confirm. Plz tell me the steps. Am i on dialer mode or PPPoe?

Dialer/Bridge mode : You need to enter ID and password in a dialer and need to click on Connect to connect to internet.

PPPoE mode: ID and password stored in the modem. You can connect to internet by just switching ON your modem.

Your C 2110 modem DHCP not enable or if enable some how your LAN dose not recognise it. You have to put the IP address manually in your LAN TCP/IP V4 side.
Go to your LAN Properties and select TCP/IP v4 ( I think you know how to get into the TCP/IP Properties in Vista, Win 7. If you dont know seek help here from other member ).
After select the TCP/IP v4 then go to properties by click on Properties tab.

Put this address like below

IP 192.168.1.2
Subnet Musk 255.255.255.0
GateWay 192.168.1.1

DNS address 192.168.1.1

Click OK and save the settings and exit.
Now go to your browser and type the address like below
http://192.168.1.1

If your Modem has the IP address 192.168.1.1 then it will open right after this settings you have done. The default IP address of C2110 is 192.168.1.1, if it had been changed then reset your modem by hard reset button in back side to get back the default setting.
