    Default wifi problem

    hello everyone

    i bought my new samsung galaxy phone yesterday but i am unable to connect to the bsnl wifi. i am using type 4 modem UTStarcom WA3002G4 model. the phone is showing the availability of this network but is unable to connect.

    I have already seen a thread like this with HTC wildfire. I tried it but my modem is different here.

    Can anyone plz help me connecting the wifi to my phone? the phone is connecting to the cellphone network and my money is going to air for nothing

    UTStarcom WA3002G4 +samsung Galaxy Phone.
    i am unable to connect to the bsnl wifi.
    Confirm
    1.
    Using PPP/PPPoE mode
    ( enter userId/PW in wan Page)
    2
    .Enabled dhcp ( usually in Lan menu page)
    3.
    Enabled uPnP box if seen.
    4.
    Change Channel Number to 6 or 11.

    I think the steps which you have told are useful when wifi is not working... but its working here and my phone is not getting connected... plz help
