Thumbs down BSNl ITI ADSL A211-1 - All lights are flashing - No internet

    Folks,

I am using BSNL ADSL modem which is ADSL Type II Modem, Model number is A211-1. I have been using it for the past 1 year 6 months.

Did anybody experience this issue? Over the past three days I am seeing all Green lights on the Modem (Ethernet and WLAN) flashing like "disco lights" .This includes the a red light on the Power chord adapter

Though its a feast to watch the lights on the BSNL modem router behave like disco lights , its sorrowful that I am not getting any internet out of it

BSNL Call center works one in 20 attempts
BSNL folks respond when they feel like.
I dont have time to make out to visit the BSNL office

    I going nuts..

Any help that I do the maintenance myself without affecting the Device/Unit functionality...!!

    Appreciate if someone helps

    Thanks,
    Vijay

    1. Get an adapter from your friends' and check.

    2. If possible get a spare modem and check.

    3. Check your ethernet card driver.

    4. Change the ethernet cable and try.

No. Did you check with your neighbours ? Check if it is a line fault.

check the adapter.has to be the modem or the adapter.i don't think its a line fault.line fault has got nothing to do with the power led(red).

Default BSNL DataOne: ITI A211-I modem - all LEDs blinking

    Hi All,

I have the same problem (all LEDs of modem and the Power adapter's red LED are continuously blinking => resulting in no internet connection) since yesterday. I have tried the foll so far:

    i) Shut off the modem for 60 mins (in case it had got overheated) and powered ON again. All LEDs still blinking.

ii) Removed the phone line and just powered on the modem. All LEDs still blinking.

iii) Connected the phone line directly to the modem, bypassing the splitter. All LEDs still blinking.

iv) Tried resetting the modem with the pin hole switch at the back. Still all LEDs are blinking.

Any pointers to what is happening will be highly appreciated. Need to get this internet connection working. I have loads of devices connected to this modem+router.

    @ vmudivedu,
was there any lightening close to your areas , while this modem was working?
If so, better forget about the modem and go for a new one. A spike of energy from mains can jump through the power supply unit to damage the modem.
likewise similar spike could also come thro the phone line, but i presume, it wont land up in flashing lights.

However, why not try the factory Hardware RESET once awhile power is ON ?

    a) The Power Adapter's RED LED glows steadily (does not blink) when not connected to modem's power socket. It however continues to glow for 2-3 secs after the power is turned OFF, before it stops glowing.

    b) I tried resetting the modem, while it was still ON. No effect.

    c) Also I observed that from all the LEDs on the modem front only the INET and 4 wired ethernet ports are blinking. The other LEDs are OFF.
