Same here. Is the strike over ? I disabled my wifi and checked suspecting somebody is accessing my connection.

the strike is called of and my connection seems to be ok..maybe just a coincidence..
hope i get my new connection soon

my condition is same here too in orissa. i applied for broadband on 1st dec. bsnl guys told me that they will set it up on monday.

called the line man's mobile ..he says he didnt recieve work order till now

Check with the office where you gave the application. Also check the portal's Orders page.

i got my new phone connection on 10 th and internet on 12th..with lot of follow ups calls..

now i have only user id..portal id and email id is not provided ..is new user aslo provided portal id ?

a little bit afraid to use the night unlimited tonight should i wait till i get portal id? i will call the exchange tomorrow

also will i have to pay this months full amount ?

No, you need to pay only for 18 days. Also you won't get full quota for download. Suppose your plan is giving 2.5 GB, you won't get full 2.5 GB for that month.

you have to pay 18/30=60% bill amount.you will get get 60% of your download limit for this month.

and registerd in selfcare to check usage it is better but the only draw back is i am forced to use internet explorer.

my connection is stated as 500 combo plus(i guess it is old name for 600 combo)
it says land line given on 27/11/10
and broadband on 11/12/10 in the orders page

1)i have paid 500 rs for phone and 600 rs for broad band
(no instruments).. is it correct amount?

2)also i can use approx 1.5 gb this december right?

3) is this 275 free calls local or std??what is the charge for extra std, local calls .(mostly i wont exeed this as i use mobile more just asking out of curiosity)

275 free calls apply to both STD and local. If you use local, one call is 180 minutes. But for STD, one call is 60 seconds. (approx values, check site for call rates in your tariff )
