I have a Teracom Wireless modem from BSNL, the WiFi signal strength keeps varying. I am about 20 feet from the Modem. You have any sugestions ?

You may try changing the channel to 11 or 6.
Keep the modem/wifi router at a higher plane( height)
( Orient the antenna towards your wifi systems.
try with the antenna parallel to the ground and rotate the modem.)

I had the same problem. Pl note in the modem wireless configuration page there is a setting called "TX Power" one need to set it to 100% level. For me it was set to 20% level. Changing this drastically increased the signal strength. Also earlier I was using Huawei modem and even my neighbour in a floor below was getting good signal strength. Teracom is a bad choice and its marketing agent DgitMart will not support if the model has come from BSNL. I should not have bought this make
