    1. Tried changing DNS values ? Use 208.67.222.222, 8.8.8.8.

    2. Ask the line man to check your line. Remove joints and non insulated parts.

    3. Reset the modem and reconfigure it.

    4. Try another browser and check.

    5. Clear browser cache and check.

The same thing happens to me too... from last two days.....

I have seen router problems, when tracing routes to yahoo.com etc.,

Very high latency, and packet loss

Interesting thing is, all pages load fine, when I use VPN connection. Which means traffic is routed through a different path...
So, I really suspect if it is problem with the phone line

BTW, I am in Bangalore telecom circle

i have tried clearing browser cache, checked for viruses ,changed the DNS in router to OPEN DNS and still the issue persists .There is no problem when downloading torrents but issue occurs when loading pages which after repeated retrials i get the page loaded.this is very annoying cause the whole purpose of using net is in question?

Please let me know if any1 can help me.
I dont think its the line if so downloading would nt take place.

Default Intermittent disconnection here as well...

I have been facing the same problem for the last 5 days or so. The first 2 days the DSL light would go off and internet failed for minutes together several times a day. I called up my exchange at K.R Puram (Bangalore) and they said there seems to be some problem and that they are working on it. But from the 3rd day the pages stopped loading intermittently with 'DSL' and 'Internet' lights ON. It has become very annoying. I checked the SNR margins and Attenuation rates and they are well within the optimal range. Chacked with another laptop thinking if it could be some virus infection, but the problem persisted. This however has not affected the torrent dl speeds and they dl at around 60 kbps (750UL) even when the browser fails to connect.

Since a few others are facing the same problem, I hope it is a general issue. But if it is an issue with BSNL how come the torrent dl remains unaffected? Can somebody shed some light please?? Thank you.

But if I use a VPN and connect things are fine
