Does he got a new connection ? For new connections, for 15 days there is unlimited download at 2 Mbps.

call the customer care 18004241600 and ask for your BB activation date.
that date+15 days is your limit.
if its already crossed and you can still download at 2mbps, check if you are on UL750 plan.
don't push your luck with bsnl.doubly check everything before downloading the whole internet into your hard drive.

Ya, check your plan on portal and confirm. May be you are just lucky

Me too have a UL 750 connection. Would have known if there is something like that.

I am quite happy with the current speed. BSNL errors normally cut deep my purse.

Check your usage details at portal. Make sure that " Chargeable units excluding night unlimited " is zero.

No, there is no data limit in UL plans. If " Chargeable units excluding night unlimited " is zero, there is no need to worry. Take a screen shot and keep it with you.

Which portal are you using ? Call your local exchange. They keep it in their records. You can find customer no. in your bill.

Nice. How did you checked your chargeable units then ? How can you log in without the portal ID ?

You can use any ID and password of your choice (Please correct me if I am wrong). I think data.bsnl users are not allowed to register in self care sites. You can find the consumer no from your bill. You can still try.
