Thread: Help Needed in Modem selection!

Today I went to BSNL Office and took the form for Broadband Application. But, they told me that they don't have Type-I modem currently in stock. So, I took a look at the Form and saw that Type-I and Type-III cost the same, i.e-Rs.1000.
So, my problem is that should I take the Type I modem, i.e UT300R2U Or SmartAX MT841 ? Which one would be better?
I want At least 1 USB Port and 1 LAN port. (For 1 pc on windows 7)

And yes, Please give me the actual price, i.e the price printed on bill for 500H and 500 Combo. I dont want to pay the telephone bill. I want to pay in total Rs.500 for this.
Please help me out! I need to submit the application within 2 days!

MT841 old model without facility for WIFI unit will be useful to connect 4 systems in lan mode ,without switch/hub/etc..

You can use 500 Combo. It comes for Rs. 500 + tax and no telephone rent. But the day time usage is 1.5 GB. You can try 600 combo. It has 2.5 GB for day time. They also have free calls.

initial charges will exceed Rs 1500/=
