Default am i having a faulty modem???

    hello guys

    Thanks for reading this .
I had been using my bsnl ut300r2u from 2007 with port forwarding successfully done and it was fine besides some usuall slow connection bsnl problems

But thats ok since i am using 500c plan. But i was always able to online

But yesterday morning when i turned on my modem i noticed something crazy going on

    Let me explain u this.
As soon as the modem is turned on power and ethernet light will flash and after that they will turn off and the other 3 namely dsl ,internet, usb flashes like both sets of light flashes like a disco light.

So now today as i turned on the modem again only dsl, internet and usb are glowing and stable (although i am using ethernet post for internet)no response from the power and ethernet

    What i did

*Checked all connections and the the land line is working fine

*used my phone to go online in my computer it workers

Replaced adsl splitter still the same thing

Is this the end of my modem?
    Please help me

    1. replace the cables(lan cable, line cable) and the adapter.
    2. c if it works.if it doesn't replace the modem probably with a frnd and check.

    Lamp Indications:

Power: This LED will glow as soon as you switch on the modem.

DSL : This LED will start glowing permanently when the connectivity between the Exchange equipment/switch and your modem is proper/established.

Internet: This internet Activity lamp will blink whenever there is a data flow between internet and the modem.

Ethernet: This LED will glow as soon as you switch on the computer if the computer is connected with modem through LAN/NIC/Ethernet card. Or

USB: This LED will glow as soon as you switch on the computer if the computer is connected with modem through USB port of your computer..

Your reply does not add any new information.
Confirm you can access modem menu pages. etc.

    5. Post Screen shot of Diagnostics page if modem settings accessed.

Try item wise reply to my post at No 2..

Reset the modem and check. There will be a small hole at the bottom side of your modem. Use a refill, press hold for say 30 seconds while the modem is ON.

The best way is to get a friend's modem/adapter and check.

    where is the solution?
your query is correct and if adopter is faulty , it gives the message that LAN IS UNPLUGGED.
