    Unhappy torrent speed fluctuation

Im a BSNL broadband user(new to this forum) with 2mbps connection.. i get very very good download speed for http(above 270KBPS also!constantly!) but my torrent speed keeps on fluctuating.. i have enabled encryption.. tried playing with setting of upload speed and slots.. but no use.. even if a torrent is of high quality(with good seeders and low leechers) for few minutes, speed is as low as 10 20KBPS and it can go to peak of 310KBPS... dont know why but it keeps on changing from high to low and so on..

U can see dat in screenshot:
    speed.JPG

    please help me..

Which site you are downloading the torrents from?

It depends on the tracker. Use a private tracker.

It is quite normal to have such speed fluctuations. Which torrent client are you using ? Try utorrent.

I think he is using utorrent.Test your utorrent configuration, also as Mr Dilip says, try to download from private tracker.

I test my utorrent setting after plan change, and I got this stats

downloading in 60-70 kbps is enough for me

    @ GirishJakapure

Also, increase your upload speed and try. Some trackers reduce the speed if your ratio is poor.

What is your ratio ? Make sure that it is around 0.5 (for this torrent) and check.

Try talking to the senior divisional engineer. He will be able to understand what you are saying. Call customer care and ask for his no.

Try reinstalling utorrent. Or check using Vuze.

does senior divisional engg helps?! coz last time i had talk with an officer(dnt know his post) who was just.. too arrogant... he said problem is with ur pc.. i had to argue for half hour, still no effect..

and someone had suggested me(few months back) tell officer to change port.. i asked himm for same, he said, its nothing to do with you.. we change it whenever we find any technical problem..

Senior divisional engineer is normally aware of such things. Or simply ask line man to check your line. Ask him to remove joints and non insulated parts.

meet the SDE (BB section) personally and explain him your problem.he will understand and will surely help.
line-men are always like that.their primary job is to deliver the equipment and make the connections.the don't know any better.they won't forward your complain until you bribe him.

its bcoz i have a parallel in living room and pc in bedroom
    .
    Option 1.

From Each parallel BSNL Phone junction (PORT)
for Telephone Instrument in each room ( Audio lowpass filter circuit MUST)
    use ADSL splitter (PHONE PORT).

    Option 2 :
If Telephone is not needed in computer room
connect RJ11 directly from BSNL Phone port to modem line IN.
( Even with ADSL splitter the connection is direct! No filters)

    Option 3 :
Mod mode GLite for speeds upto 1 5.Mbps)
Un check Adsl2 + box in DSL menu page of modem.
switched to glite, rebooted modem.. gone... it powered up and couldn't get dsl link.. dnt knw why
    .
Prefer GDMT if only one option is possible in your modem.

    Para two:

Compare SNR/Attn data for each mod mode selected.
