Thread: Help me please!!!

HELLO everyone,i am using bsnl unlimited broadband 750 rupees plan

i am getting a download speed of maximum of 63KBps but my friend who has the same unlimited connection gets download speeds upto a maximum of 200KBps

i triple checked with him and asked him whether he has the same bsnl unlimited plan..he said yes and he asked me to register a complaint with bsnl..so i did,those bsnl guys called me and i said my problem,they say i am getting the required speed and its the maximum{63} when i said to them about my friend,they say please check again with him,so i called my friend again,he said the same again that he's using same unlimited plan...

the difference between me and him is

i am using the modem provided by bsnl:-
Dataone broadband WA3002G4{with wlan}

and my friend is using:-
compaq modem{he brought it from an electronic shop}

please help me!!!

Is your friend's connection new one ? For new connections, for first 15 days you will get 2 Mbps unlimited. I am using UL 750 and getting a speed of 60 -70 from good servers.

but i live in a suburb called tambaram

while my friend lives in pallavaram,it is just 10-15 kms maybe from tambaram

no,his connection is not new connection,its old only

if your are jealous complain to bsnl ,register his number and tell them to correct there mistake !:

call bsnl people to check your connection lines ....... these lines might often affect the speed of internet...

no,i am not jealous buddy but i feel like i am being cheated of my money,would you be silent if this thing happens with you...he downloads 3GB movies in 7 hours.for me it takes more than a day!!!

check the lines???k i'll tell them...what they'll do?will they replace the lines?or will they put some new wires??

should i go and re configure my modem?

i am confused but i badly want that speed!!!....my friend has unlimited plan 750 and his speed his 1.5mbps!!! he sent me his broadband speed picture to prove!!!

will changing the modem help???

this modem provided by bsnl is stupid,most of the times,the internet light gets off...i cant download anything from rapidshare...so i need speed!!!

your speed is just fine.it shud b within 60-70 kBps.
your friend may just b lucky.this is an error from the bsnl side.nothing you can do about it.

hey, that offer ended on 15th nov.so the period has ended on the 30th nov.
has to be an error from the bsnl side.

You dont answer the meetdilip quary -- Is your friend has the new connection and if that is a new connection then is it within the 15 days.

If the above answare is NO then I think your friend has IP started with 59 rather then 117. In 59 series of IP user who change the Plan limited 2Mbps to UL plan some of them luckly get the 200KBps download speed.

Absolutely I am sure about it. But luckly some users but not all.

Untile your SDE or DE internal is a very good friend or a relative.

You dont Answer my quary and meetdilip and do you know what is the IP address of your friend.

There are two optios available to you:
(1)Apply for a change of Tariff Plan to
Home500 or Home600
(2) Be a "whistle blower" ( give information)

How your friend gets 2 Mbps speed for tariff plan 750 will be investigated and his speed will be changed.

Changing to 59.xx.xx.xx will not help you.

yes u must call bsnl ppl to check the wiring after that u wl check ur speed if it works than ok otherwise modem may be faulted...most of the time wiring problems creates loss of speed

is your friend by any chance named chandraprakash whose father works in bsnl,he is my good friend too but sometimes he is full of baloony when it comes to bragging but he has a good heart nonetheless if his name is chandraprakash=he is lying.
