    1. Please mention, modem - model and make.

    2. Are you sure that your modem supports wifi ?

    Try the following steps

    a. Configure your modem in PPPoE

    b. Enable DHCP in your modem.

    c. In the TCP/IP properties of your system, set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

    Nothing to configure for Nokia C3....
    Just configure modem like meetdilip said and switch ON the wifi for C3.....
    When asked, choose WLAN for applications like Opera Mini......
