Thread: External IP redirecting to router setup page

i am using bsnl broadband internet connection (750 plan), router model is "DNA-A211-1"
i have configure "appache" webserver in "port 78", it's working in internal ip address "127.0.0.1:78" and "localhost:78" and "192.168.1.2:78", but it's not working from external ip address "117.215.xxx.xxx:78". that external ip address redirecting modem setup page.

i have checked without port also, no use.

i want to know bsnl can support web host from home or not?

Not recommended by Bsnl. but you can use.
The speed of your connection is very poor.
at least 2 Mbps speed suggested .

Since you will have a dynamic IP , you have to use DDNS option.
http://www.dyndns.com/services/dns/dyndns/
Check in your router under Advanced options.

i have already used both dyndns.com and no-ip.org. i have registered to both.
- xxxxx.dyndns.com map to current dynamic ip
- xxxxx.no-ip.org map to current dynamic ip
both url is not working. this url also redirecting to modem setup page.

i have checked both with port and without port, but it's not working

what setup to follow in router configuration ? kindly guide me.

You have to access from a different system.
Post your web server/site. address. for testing.
Password if any required, need not be given.
