i m getting bandwidth of 244.0 kbps at speedtest.in (with COMPEX modem)
    244kbps means 30KB/sec download speed.

Please check your speed here and give the link here ( omit http://www)

    Plan 625 Speed 256kbps expected 32 KB/sec(*ideal conditions)
    mine just now. BANGALORE SITE:
    UPTO 2 mbps
    your IP address is 117.193.xx.xx
    {
Your current bandwidth reading is: 1.70 Mbps ( *yours 9.20 kbps)

which means you can download at 217.56 KB/sec. from our servers. ( *yours 1.15KB/sec
Means your BB connection is as bad as the old dialup Sancharnet/Netone connection.!!!

Since you have compared two modems, and speed is average with Compex model,
( and system is common )

    1.
    Recheck settings of 450BXI
    2.Uncheck adsl2+ in dsl page.
In DNS menu page enter google 8.8.8.8
    and 208.67.220.220

    3.
Post SNR Attn Line speed and Rate :
( from modem STATISTICS ADSL menu page )
    4.
You can try tcp/ip optimizer from speedguide.net
    5.
    Copy/paste following data here.
Only for LAN> ( No tunnel data if seen )
    START run type cmd
    OK
    new window
    type ipconfig /all

Check link wa3002-G4 for modem settings ( same hardware board for many bsnl/airtel modems/wifi routers )

Procedure for pposting screen shots :
You can upload at tinypic.com and give link here omitting ONLY http;//www
    or
    Here when posting

Attenuation should drastically reduce to say 25 db.
compare same data with compex modem.
( to check whether line problem is there )

continue to use compex modem , and test your modem at friend's place.
SNR d/L above 10 db connection is possible.
Your problem is low speed with your own modem.

    http://i51.tinypic.com/2441h0y.jpg
could have compared speed with your modem also.

    1.
IF you have System Restore Points
restore to a date ,in which you could surf normally.
    2.Else
    Start run
    Type
    sfc /scannow
    keep Xp OS CD ready.
This will check all files of your O.S
    3.
When you can browse try to update to sp3.

    DNS Server Configuration

If 'Enable Automatic Assigned DNS' checkbox is selected, this router will accept the first received DNS assignment from one of the PPPoA, PPPoE or MER/DHCP enabled PVC(s) during the connection establishment. If the checkbox is not selected, enter the primary and optional secondary DNS server IP addresses. Click 'Save' button to save the new configuration. You must reboot the router to make the new configuration effective.

    Congrats.
1.Go to Management menu in modem and Backup present settings to say C:/My Documents/b.eetel450BXi OK.
    2.
No idea how with such high attenuation in line you can
get connected and get a stable connection.
    Downstream Upstream
    SNR Margin (dB): 15.3 13.2
    Attenuation (dB): 53.0 35.4
or as usual you are reporting some other modem !!!
    3.
Now you can post asAannexure(jpg) statistics Adsl page here.
    Also any speed test results.
    4. If you uncheck ADSL2+ box ( IN DSL menu )
)and if GDMT is selected, may be
attenuation may reduce and stable connection possible.
