Thread: ZTE ZXDSL 531 B modem working very slow

i am using dataone plan 625. i am having problem with the internet speed. i am using ZTE ZXDSL 531B modem provided by BSNL. at speedtest.net i am getting ping 326 ms and download speed of 0.10 mbps and upload speed of 0.07 mbps. at speedtest.in i am getting bandwidth of 68.0 kbps. i borrowed a friend's modem make Compex networks. it is giving me 0.40 mbps download speed at speedtest.net and 0.15 mbps upload speed and i m getting bandwidth of 244.0 kbps at speedtest.in . I want to ask you whether i am having a faulty modem or there is some other problem. Moreover i am in the warranty period of modem by BSNL. what you suggest which is the better option for purchasing outside . now i m using one computer at home on this connection. please help me in finding the solution . thanks in advance.

i m getting bandwidth of 244.0 kbps at speedtest.in (with COMPEX modem)
244kbps means 30KB/sec download speed.

Dear Sir EssBebe , at karnatka bsnl site i got bandwidth 9.20 kbps and download speed 1.15 KB/sec. At My Broadband Speed site , connection could n't proceed after preparing for download. this is thru ZTE ZXDSL 531 B. But connecting thru Compex modem i got following speed: download speed 122 kbps{15.3 KB/s};upload speed 177kbps [22.1 KB/s]. i can't post image or url due to forum rules. please help me. thanks

( and system is common )

Recheck settings of 450BXI
2.Uncheck adsl2+ in dsl page.
In DNS menu page enter google 8.8.8.8
and 208.67.220.220

1.Go to Management menu in modem and Backup present settings to say C:/My Documents/b.eetel450BXi OK.

No idea how with such high attenuation in line you can
get connected and get a stable connection.
