    I have the B4 type-4 modem with bsnl broadband connection.
    I have Lenovo550 laptop. The problem is that when I want to connect the
    internet via wifi connectivity, it is not working. Wifi connection in the moden is enabled and my laptop's wifi is also enable, even the laptop's wifi able to catch the modem wifi singal, it is showing in the connection pannel, but when I go to click on the connect button it is unable to connect, even my iphone also able to catch the bsnl wifi modem but it is also unable to connect, but when I put the cable(Moden to PC LAN RJ45) it is working properly. I have windows7 o/s in my laptop. Can anyone help me out of this problem?

    START RUN type cmd Ok
    new window
    Type ipconfig /all
    copy/paste data here ONLY for LAN and WLAN
    ( No tunnel data please.)


    B4 type-4 modem
    give details. make/model/number.
    Confirm you do not use a DIALER to connect .
    (UserId/PW entered in computer screen )

    B4 Type4 modem provided by BSNL.
    Company name of the modem is B4, thats all I know.

    In your browser type 192.168.1.1

    userid admin PW admin
    Menu pages will show.

    I think the modem wifi is already enabled, because I am able to see the green light on the modem's wifi part and my system is also able to catch the signal bcoz it is showing in the connection panel. Is it a problem of win7?

    1. Configure your modem in PPPoE mode.

    2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

    3. In the TCP/IP properties of your connection, set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

    Log in to the modem, post the screen shot of landing page.

    1. Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser.

    2. ID and password as admin.

    Please post Device Info or connection status screen shot.
    Another AR800V3 model type with different number ?
