Yes man! Finally i got bsnl bb connection on my pc. I chose the 500C plan and the modem given to me was ITI DNA A201BEI
But amazingly, I am getting a down speed of 4.69 Mbps and up speed of 0.39 Mbps.
I thank all the members of this forum who helped me to clarify my doubts. Thank u all!

Check your orders page and confirm that the speed hike is not due to a wrong plan. Just to make sure. BSNL is known for its mistakes.

Which portal are you using ?

If data.bsnl.in, log in with your 14 digit portal ID, postpaid orders > Enter the telephone no in the prescribed format > No need to enter the service ID > Checked the plan name. Or you can post the screen shot after blackening your personal details.

But, i have not recieved my portal id yet. I have only got the username and password that i use to browse net

Mention your telecom circle.

Call your exchange and ask for portal ID. They keep it in their records. Just 2 minute business to get it. Password is normally password.

Go to CRM
and register with your own USERID.
Password will be sent by email to you

Nice. Register at the site I gave. You may need your consumer no. (in bill) and your service user ID and password.

Most of use a good bandwidth meter to keep an eye on our usage. Try one from Shaplus or Networx.

Go to Know My IP :: What is my IP Address? and check IP address, is it starting from 117 or 59

If it is 59 then you need this username and password for usages check.
If you are in 59 series of IP then go to this address for checking http://10.240.43.216/webLogin.jsp

If your ID is ab(stdcode)(telephonenumber)
@ bsnl.in try self care web sites ( Mostly Ip 117.xx.xx.xx
if abcd@ dataone.in as above. ( old users 59.xx.xx.xx)

I called the JTO. He told me that use Broadband for 3-4 days. Then i will provide you the id.
Now what to do?
And I have another doubt too. I took new landline connection. So, I have not recieved my first bill. How to get customer id?

Night usage unlimited.
Download NetworX as suggested and keep
track of your download from Now onwards

Modem security deposit if on rent Rs 1000
Modem rent Rs 80 PM
Telephone std/isd security deposit Rs 500/=
plus tax at 10/3%

3. Night unlimited. Now a days Bsnl portal meter
keeps record of NU exactly in most cases.
Anyway , ensure modem is switched off around 0155 AM and again at 0755 AM
For you format may be different.

Follow precaution mentioned No 3 previous post. ( modem switched off at about 0155AM and at 0755 AM. restart 0205AM
and 0805AM.
Have a record of usage in NetworX.

Call JTO today for 14digit portalID PW as password. If he /she declines contact higher authorities in Exchange .

Finally, my registration was successful on Selfcare website and I was able to see my usage. On the 1st page, I checked my plan and it was "HOME 500 COMBO"

But, when I went to the Unbilled amount section, I saw Rs.145 yesterday and today when I saw it, it was Rs.191.72.
Can anybody tell me what this is?
