Default configure web server using dynadns

I have configured tomcat at my local machine and tomcat page opens at port 8080.
    http://localhost:8080 ---> tomcat page opens.

After that , I have registered for host at dynadns.com ( free service). But using dynadns the tomcat page does not open.
<your-free-domain-name-here>.dyndns-office.com:8080 -----> tomcat page does not open

N.B: I have opened port 8080 at my router Linksys WRT54G.

I'm not sure why this is not working . how do I troubleshoot ?

Is it a BSNL problem or my configuration problem ?

I'm sorry ...I did not get you. what is similar ? did you face the similar problem with dynadns ?

Also, why do you suggest to quit dynadns and try no-ip ? Is it a known problem that BSNL does not work with dynadns ?

I am not familiar with dyndns. No-IP is also used by those who do not have a static IP. There were a few similar threads, where this tutorial helped. If you are not particular about dyndns, you can try using this. Just my suggestion, you can wait for further comments from other members.

Yes. I'm not particular about dyndns. I may use any service provider...but would be happy if dynadns works

Is it the IP address of the machine having tomcat is needed here ? ( in that case I can run cmd>ipconfig to find the IP address of the machine having tomcat )...but I'm not sure which IP address is asked here..and doubtful....please help at this part.

    Thanks

Try from Ipconfig /all your system address. ( usually 192.168.1.X)
    which hosts the web server.

Presume you could not make any entries. Confirm.
Are you on "DIALER" mode ?
    USERID/PW entered in Computer window.

Also expand Services menu. What submenus you get ?

You need to click on the " edit " button at the farthest corner of 0_35 entry. Here you wil find an option to choose between " bridge " and PPPoE.
