Unhappy Strange problems in Counter strike after getting new bb connection on AR800V v3.0

    Hello people,

There is a strange problem going on with my cs 1.6 after getting the new AR800V v3.0 wifi modem. Earlier I had ZTE evdo and there were no problems at all! Please look at the problems and suggest me if there is any solution or not.

    Thanks!

    Problem 1

The first problem is the server list in my CS 1.6. As you can see in the attachments below, it is showing only 33 servers after getting AR800V v3.0.
When I had ZTE evdo, I was able to get around 9000 servers!

I tried many MasterServers.vdf files but the same problem arises everytime. I have also turned on Port Forwarding on the router.

    Problem 2

The second problem is now whenever I make a server using HLDS, it doesn't appear in the main server list. My friends have to connect using the IP address. The server worked fine before getting the new broadband connection.

    Additional Info:

    Router/Modem: AR800V v3.0
    Ports Forwarded?: Yes
    Tried DMZ?: Yes
    Is this modem WiFi?: Yes
Is this a piece of crap?: YES!!

I hope you people can solve my problems. Thanks!

i too am facing this problem with both cs 1.6 and condition zero
also latency is very high but just last year it was around 30-80
now it has jumped above 250 and for cs 1.6 around 150
    leave alone number of servers
    can't play a thing
mine is 256 kbps unlimited line
as far as possible check for a nearby ISP who provides lan too.
then kick bsnl in its rear
i can't do that may be you could.

    what's more i don't live far
i am just barely half a km from the exchange

Well, this thread is old but I am still having these problems. Can't anyone help me? I think something is bottle necking the traffic on this modem. Any help would be appreciated.

DID u try different DNS servers?

try namebench or similar program to get a better DNS option.

    Anyways am with DNA A211-1
facing ping problems for a long time
at start it was on the ok side now extreme.
except one or 2 sv at around 60-70
    all others above 250-
many servers available at 35 ping times are now at 640-850
All this shows only around 20 servers.
    rest all beyond reach.
BSNL is known for its latency issues.
Try getting something better which you know the neighbourhood has with decent ping times.

Well, I don't know how to change DNS servers in this modem. However, I can see some servers with less than 40 ping in the morning and night while the same servers get 150+ pings at other times. Also, at this time, another server with 150+ ping gets ~40 ping.

I tried reliance but there are is no coverage of reliance in my area :/
