Question File Upload problems (Sterlite SmartAX MT882)

    Dear Sirs,

I have a BSNL Unlimited connection.

I have a Broadband modem Sterlite SmartAX MT882.

While I am able to nicely browse websites and download files, I am not able to send even very small files as attachments. When I use Picasa (google photo organiser) and try to upload photos to my web album, I am more often not able to upload even one photo, irrespective of the size.

Whats the problem? How do I rectify this?

Request the help of knowledgeable members of this forum. I am based in Chennai and finding it very difficult to send even a small attachment on email.

    Regards
    R. Sathyamurthy

uploading problems ............... try changing your DNS servers to open DNS servers
    open DNS servers are

    primary DNS: 208.67.220.220
    secondary DNS: 208.67.222.222

then see if you can upload

Check the MTU value. It must be 1492 or less.

You do not need to "open" or "find" the open DNS servers. They exist at various places in the world. DNS or domain name servers are machines that translate a domain such as Google to its IP address (209.85.153.104).

player has mentioned the IP address of the open DNS servers. Configure the DNS settings in your modem/router and set the values to those mentioned above.

it seems to me that this problem is due to MTU problem.try lowering your MTU to 1492 & then try these values---1460,1452. you can try other values too.MTU setting is usually in LAN settings in modem.
