Thread: confusing matter please help

okay i had posted this querry but i didnt get any satisfying answers....I use bsnl broadband internet UL750.From 3-4 days my speed has been 50-60kb/ps...but for last 2 months i used to get speed of 240-260kb/ps...and i m not joking....so why such depreciation in the speed.....and also funny thing is that when i check my speed from bsnl speedtest centre they show me Your current bandwidth reading is: 1.82 Mbps

which means you can download at 232.45 KB/sec. from our servers. and from international speed test site...
the y show me....download 0.47mb/s,upload 0.68mb/s..ping 36ms...

Please solve my querry

You mention the speed 50-60kb/ps, is that your speed you see on your download manager ?
The actual download speed of UL750 is 50-60KBps and the speed you were getting 240-260kB/ps this is for the plan 2Mbps. But you said your speedtest from bsnl centre showing 1.82Mbps which is near to 2Mbps.

Download a file from a good site like microsoft with IDM and see the speed you are getting and if you have private torrent tracker then use Utorrent and check the download speed. If you see its giving you 50-60KBps then its OK for your plan, because UL750 actual speed is 50-60KBps.

are you in 117 IP or 59 IP ?

well the guy who set up the net on my pc....gave this ip 192 series.....and i get a speed of 50-60 kb/ps on download manager....and from torrents speed is about 55kb/ps....still will recheck and post it...thanks people for the help...

The IP you mention which is starting from 192 this is a private IP not the Public IP. To know the Public IP go to this address below

You can see which one you have 117 or 59.

The Speed you are getting now this is normal for UL750.
