Question Problem keeping Modem type 2 on always on

I have an Teracom modem that is type 2 whose model no is: T2-B-Gawv.4U10Y-BI.At my place VCI/VPI is 0/32 not 0/35 got it confirmed from bsnl people.I have done all the necessary setting that is required to keep modem on always on but the internet light is red & i am able to run the dialer & connect it ( this is during always on ).(I know what is always on i.e. making an pppoe connection)I went to bsnl guys they told me to change my plan( rite now my plan is 500c & they have suggested my 599) & take higher plan so that my vci/vpi changes to 0/35 & then i will be able able to access WI-FI which i find no logic.Even before i had some other wifi modem with which i have used wi-fi on the same connection. Is there no other solution??

Try putting 0_35. Please mention your location. Wondering if it is true (0-32). Couldn't find an argument in favour of 0 _ 32.

Probably BSNL has used link 0_32 and entered vpi/vci as 0 and 35 there.
In one modem two vpi/vci 0 and 35 cannot be entered ( say under link in first page 0_32 and 0_35 or 1 _38 etc.
WE have an option to delete all entries and make a a fresh entry.
    Wide Area Network (WAN) Setup

Choose Add, Edit, or Remove to configure WAN interfaces.
Choose Save/Reboot to apply the changes and reboot the system.
    (*ONLY ONE entry in mine).
Vpi/Vci Con. ID Category Service Interface Protocol Igmp QoS State Remove Edit
    0/35 1 UBR pppoe_35_1 ppp_0_0_35_1 PPPoE Disabled Disabled Enabled

After selecting 0_32 link check in next page
under VPI VCI 0 and 35 would be seen
    feedback.

If you can connect to a BSNL Broadband connection with VPI/VCI 0 and 32
so that my vci/vpi changes to 0/35 & then i will be able able to access WI-FI.......
There is no reason why your WIFI connection should not work.
Check teracom link in my sig links for more details/.

Mention your location, so that others can confirm BSNL Broadband
    can connect with both 0 32 and 0 35.
