|  i am mtnl user they did not block torrent download and i think that there is no information about bsnl blocking torrent , i think that it is working in bsnl too!!!!!!! alex |

Rep Power: 0 | BSNL doesnt block torrents. but the downside is that the upload speed is limited to around 256 kbps. That affects the torrent dl speed, as the dl speed is proportional to upload speed. So, you'll not get the max dl speed supported by your connection. |

Rep Power: 10 | If your upload speed is 256kbps you should be able to download at speeds of around 1.5mbps if your downstream connection speed allows that kind of speed. Different torrent clients work differently and results vary by a vast margin. I use ABC and it rocks. |

Rep Power: 2 | BSNL does not block torrents, but the connection does have problems when used with Zonealarm security suite (Firewall) and PeerGuardian - which I think is a must for any torrent network user. It is true that sometimes you will not get good download speeds if the upload speeds are capped at 256kbps but you can circumvent this by downloading 2-3 torrents simultaneously. That way you will get 40-50 KBps on all your torrent downloads even when your UL speeds are capped at 256kbps. Atleast this works for utorrent client. Dunno about other clients |
