    Default BSNL router login

My relatives have got the BSNL broadband package (unsure of the package details) Its working great when connected to the PC. Saw the router has a wlan option so tried to connect to my laptop through wireless but to no avail.

Problem is that I cant even go to the router settings via 192.168.1.1! username and password as "admin" dont seem to be working I tried username and password as "user" and i logged in but i can change a thing!

My router is ZTE ZXDSL 531B
how can i configure to connect to my laptop?
When i go to the menu "diagnostics"-- it also says that my wireless connection is DOWN

    ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

Then how did you access Diagnostics Page ? Not in Modem. May be
    somewhere else.

At least out of curiosity check my signature links !!!!

    i think you have misunderstood me;
i can log into the router page using username--user-- and password being the same...

but when i get to the page i cannot change anything...because i think using this username only lets you view certain settings...and as i said i cannot log in using admin..admin

Edit and remove all tunnel data.
if you cannot access 192.168.1.1 admin admin
    and user/password restricts you
    Try support /password. or multiplay/password.

Explained in my signature link 192.168.1.1

    Forget it. check your problem.
    Try 192.168.1.1/main.html
did you try alternate ID's given ? to change modem settings.

We need Device Info page of your unit. Post as screeenshot.

    after log in
    type in address bar
    http://192.168.1.1/wancfg.cmd
can you see the page and select EDIT ?

Return the unit to BSNL stating unable to acccess WIFI settings.
    or modem settings.

RESET the unit as a last option.
Advanced Options menu also not seen.

haha well luck is on my side i think ...
after following the instructions on that blogspot i messed up because i didnt know the id and username provided by the ISP and neither did my relatives...we eventually did have to call as i reconfigured it wrong and net wasnt working...

he told me that ours was a type 1 modem and not type 2 or something....weird because after he setup the net (when he did admin/admin) it worked ...the wlan light came on and wireless is working LOL

but thanks essebebe to get me to the edit settings and for the link to the blogspot...atlesat i know what to do now if it messes up again
