Glad to note that your Internet connection is working in WIFI mode.

With your laptop what is the max distance from router's location, you could access the signals.. Say 20 feet 30 feet radius. Also height 1st floor 2nd floor etc.
Also how far your system router positioned from the road ?

You had problem/s earlier to restore the internet connection.

Best security is to keep the wifi modem off , when not in use & deny access to your laptop. ( pass word protected. No fancy wep wpa 64 128 bit key !!!)

My wifi router( Netgear WGR614 ) In same room with laptop/ . There is no antenna ( broken !!) !!!

If you see some other wifi network secured/unsecured,
in your wifi network page, try connecting to them as a test.

    Dear Essbebe,

Do you mean that i shouldn't use 64 and 128bit protection for my WiFi network ? ( Just want to confirm )

Yes i do see some networks but i can not connect them as they are password protected. Tikona WiFi is unsecured and i can connect to it but it leads me to it's homepage to register.
