    Default Bsnl broadband will not work in the night

    HI friends: i am from Chengalpattu - I have the problem, which is discussed here.

    The BSNL Broadband line will not work in the evening till next day morning, i have the same problem for more than 1 1/2 , months.

    The reason is the BSNL cable have numerous cuts and joints, i have noted the clear reason when the street lights are on at 6.00pm the Broadband will fail and whenever the Street Light are Off the Broadband connects automatically with high speed. The Sodium lights in the Street affects the BSNL non insulated Cables. BSNL (linemen & officials) will keep the Cables open and without proper insulation only. You cant advice or ask them. They have their own Union , then they will go in strike. Which means you will not get Broadband working even in the day time too.

    I am constantly making complaints with the BSNL Customer Care, but no one will turn up with a solution. I will get a call from the BSNL Customer care, they will ask me if my Broadband is working. I will say "No". Then they will say, Ok sir Someone from BSNL will visit you in next 48 hrs. But No one will turn up, and your Complaint will be automatically closed. Then you have to again make a new complaint. Like this i am waiting for the last one and a half month.

    My SNR value is 3 & 4 or 4 & 5

    Try talk to the SDE. If nothing works, try talking to Nodal officer or Appellate authority. ID and phone no on the backside of your bill.

    Also try talking to your line man. He will be able to help at times.

    You can fight but as per my experience you will not get result. I got 50k bill of broadband usage. Still pending. No result even though I am willing to pay.

    make a representation addressed to the genl manager of your district, with a copy to Chief general manager TN cirrcle Chennai.

    specifically indicate these things
    and indicating that such reasons, only many customers are likely to run out to other companies and while customers are suffering, bsnl also looses. If the local officers are not understanding or willing to sort out, let the press take it up. you can give a demo to press

    This AllIndia Online website seems to have some effect.Try it..
    The roles were reversed!In my case,the Local CC of Exchange,
    enquired anxiously about my Broadband complaint !!!!

    Default Contacted all relaiable people But No Use

    I have contacted :

    1. Line Man many times - He comes during day time and says he has chnaged the pair and now today it will work. But after 6 pm the same problem will prevail. He has visited me during day time for more than 5 times and given the same answer. But he will not come after 6pm to next day 8 am.

    2. Contected AE - He visited my house ( before 6pm) and checked and said the SNR Margin Value id less and he will make arrangement to boost the db.

    3. Contacted SDE - He says its because of our area being distant from the tower this may happen. And he says nothing can be done its only because of the distance.

    But you may note that the distance is not the real matter . If it thats the reason, then all the broadband connections in our area should face the same problem. Other connection which are even meters far from my house works. The reason is that the cable is open in with open joints below the street light with teh sodium lamp. When ever the Street Lights are ON - the Braodband line goes off.


    The BSNL people do not bother to tape it are close it with proper insulattions.

    What to DO ??? If BSNL was a private company they would have worked to hold the customers. But as BSNL is not a private company which doesnt bother for income or customers... the officials answer as per their wish and negligence .

    A few of my friends in Chennai also facing this problem. Net behaves strangely during evening time.

    Not sure, but may help.

    Follow up with AE and remind him of the promise.

    Also consider switching to BSNL 3G. Now a days 6 months' unlimited connection comes as low as Rs. 4,200. In effect making it Rs. 700 per month tariff.

    No problem in Adyar side Bsnl Broadband ,for me I feel
    Even though my plan is Home 750 U/L downloaded at average speed 220KB/sec ( correct 220KB/sec) file of 71MB(Motive FW )with FDM.
    Surfing at usual speed.
    BSNL Chennai telephones circular says :
    3G u/lplan reduced from Rs 2499 to Rs 1359/=
    Long commitment u/L d/L/month at Rs 700/=
    3G data card reduced to Rs 2000/=
    Cost of Blackberry reduced by Rs 5000/=
    Inst charged waived for new BB and L/L waived till 31st March 2011
    u/l 499plan available permanently.
    free adsl Modems and wifi router at half rate for BB plans above Rs 850/=( annual Payment )

    Default Contacted BSNL JE in Person

    In continuation with the above problem, i went to the BSNL exchnage to meet the AE / SDE, i was informed, that he has gone BSNL Chennai HQ.

    So i met AE incharge... He says he has seen my problem. BUt he cant help it. He says this problem is there, and they cant rectify. He says to meet DE and ask for change of cable ( roughly for about a distance of 3kms. Is it possible ? that they will change ? )

    He also said one more thing.

    " Yes Broadband will work only till 6pm, if you want keep the connection OR leave it and surrender it"

    This answer seems to be the real quality of BSNL

    What else can we do ????

    Did you send ONLINE complaint ?
    2.
    Contact Chief General Manager's office(TAMILNADU TELECOM CIRCLE) since you are in Chengulput and make a complaint
    mentioning your Exchange and name of A.E concerned , who is reported to have said " Take it or leave it ")
    You can make Telephone call and may be talk to the P.A.
    If no satisfactory response send a letter.

    CGM ( Chennai Telephones ) has issued circular asking staff

    The forthcoming three months are crucial, and I appeal to
    each and everyone of you to put in your earnet effort and might , so that we can bring in as many customers as possible in our fold . and retain our existing customers .....
    etc

    Also may be, because of cellphone number portability wef from next week. ( You retain present cell phone number and select a different provider )

    Give Exchange details and name of A.E here.
    Confirm same problem for some other BSNL BB users in same Street.

    friends, thanks for your suggestions, but with BSNL nothing is working. Today i have sent a complaint by mail to DGM Broadband Servive - Chennai Telephone at his mail ID: pg_chnbb@bsnl.co.in

    Let us see, if this works .. but when i contacted customer care , they say still my complaint is pending and they will look into it.

    Friend, I had the same problem which u mentioned. for the past 6 months this problem is there for me. I met AE and all superiors in my exchange. nothing works. BSNL s not capable of sorting this problem. finally i decided to change service provider. Instead of this wired issue i thought to go for data card wireless. I m a gentle customer for BSNL for the past 12 Years. Because of this issue i m leaving BSNL. As u mentioned AE told be like this or surrender. Lets go for some other service provider. we have lot of private service provider who will provide much better service than BSNL. your problem wil not solve. I tried more than wat u tried. Advicing you to change the Service Provider...BSNL SUCKS...

    Did you try making an ONLINE" complaint here see the website adddress in the picture.?

    Scroll down in Grievance column and select broadband etc.



    Feedback here please after three days.

    Same problem here.
    DSL link goes away after 6 PM. No authority is available in exchange after 6 PM. After complaint to Area manager, They did change the wires, ports etc. nothing worked. They put so many Faltoo theories---like whether i have centrex fac, whethe I do activate call divert , etc. I faced the same problem 1 year before and it was solved after 1 month. How? Naked wires were left at DP!!!!

    Line problems are the most common ones, but sometimes router. If you are in city areas you should avoid BSNL wired BB, try MTS or other wireless postpaid. In chennai area MTS is fantastic. I am not sure if MTS can be configured using a mobile router.

    Default BSNL Broadband stops working after 6-30 PM

    This had happened 3 years before also and it got OK after 1 month. This time also I rang so many authorities. All work 10 to 5PM. No body is available after 6 PM. No body was interested in solving problem after 6 PM and in Morning my BB was ok. They empirically did all the things without results. I decided to do something for myself. I went to terrace and noticed that line man ---on order of SDOP had changed tele wire from DP to terrace and made a joint with concealed wire going inside the room. 3 year before I had made arrangement for single wire from DP to tele line. This basics of a line without joint for broadband was not known to Outdoor dept. Very pathetic situation. Today I got 2 calls and was told that somebody will remain present during evening---as usual no body came!!!!! I was confident that after arranging single continuous wire from DP to my telephone will make my BB work even after evening AND this happened today.
