Unhappy Unable to connect to wireless router

I have just purchased a new Dell Inspiron 15R Laptop with a DW 1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card. I am trying to connect wirelessly to my UTSTARCOM WA-3002-G1 wireless router. I am simply not able to connect to this router. I also have another Acer Travelmate which connects to the router perfectly and helps me access the internet. Please help me guys to solve this problem. I am trying since 2 days , this problem is racking my brains out. Here is some more data about the problem:

    1) Latest Driver for DW 1501 is installed

    2) The signal strength is excellent

    3) Tried disabling the MS Virtual Wifi Miniport adapter. But this does not solve the problem

    1. Configure your modem in PPPoE.

    2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

    3. In the TCP/IP properties of your connection, set " Obtain IP address automatically "

    If above doesn't work,

Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig/all for both machines.

Finally was able to resolve the problem. Lot of people have/are facing this problem as I got to know while searching for a fix. This problem has many variants and this fix may not apply to all. Thanks MeetDilip and Essbebe for your suggestions.

I had tried disabling the virtual wifi adapter, disabling the firewall, unchecking/removing IPV6, uninstalling/reinstalling IPV4, played around with all the driver properties, but simply nothing worked.

Finally I found that McAfee was pre-installed (not activated) on my machine. The McAfee firewall service was running. This was the culprit. When I disabled this firewall, I got connected immediately!
