    Default Perpetual BSNL Broadband Complaint

    Whenever, I call 1500 to register a complaint for BSNL broadband not working on 0522-2441777, I keep getting the answer that a complaint at this number is already booked #1000667732 and the Status of the complaint is "Physical Work in Progress". This work has been going on for nearly a year now. The customer service personnel on pressing 9 at 1500 does not accept this complaint stating that this is a "CDR" complaint. The personnel also always states that the GSP exchange has had a server problem "today". For the fact there is no server at this exchange. The server is at its parent Alambagh exchange. The personnel instead of noting my complaint and giving me a number, always tries to side step the issue by asking me to contact the SDO of the exchange or his senior DGM as if I have not already cracked my head on these pass-the-buck telecom chaps. No point complaining at 198 for broadband as they will call to check whether your phone is working or not and that is that.
    The problem is at the telephone pole as there is no feeder line exposed enough to connect to my telephone line. The linesmen state that this is the work of the maintenance people and who the latter are even the SDO is not aware of.

    Try talking to Nodal officer or Appellate authority. ID and phone no. on the backside of your bill.

    Well thanks Essbebe. I have registered a complaint at the website you mentioned, the docket number of which is UPE/CO/2011/19. It was a tough job as the length of the complaint must not exceed 200 characters with spaces. After a month I will go and quote this docket number again if nothing happens.

    @thatguy
    You could at least mention the town/city, so that users of this forum having problem with their Broadband connection can try local approach. City to city and State to State , the attitude of the CC staff etc differs.( General opinion: Down South, more friendly approach both by users and staff. In North an aggressive attitude !!!!!

    I visited my local Exchange today and in the Broadband section
    I wanted my emailID for web mail. The lady referred the computer wrote the details in a printed form and gave me. Time spent in Exchange less than 5 minutes.

    ONLY IN BSNL you can meet all the concerned officers personally,
    ( For Airtel : I even don't know the location of their office.
    Rarely used phone and made all complaints by email and got them solved. Maximum 2nd layer solved the problems )
    and if even then, your problem is not solved an All India On line complaint web site is suggested..

    I bet bribing with less than 500 rupees to your lineman will do the job.
