Exclamation BSNL weird net connectivity problem

Hi guys, i've been facing this weird connectivity issue over the past few weeks... My internet connection was working fine until one day it showed an intermittent pattern of connectivity... i contacted BSNL and they replaced my old modem(dont remember the name) with a UT300R2u ADSL2+ modem claiming that it was a faulty modem.

It worked fine for just an hour and then the old problem surfaced with more serious complications. I am not able to connect to the internet and my system couldnt identify the network. The UT300R2u ADSL2+ has 5 leds(power dsl internet ethernet usb), strangely only dsl and ethernet leds are glowing(ethernet led blinking), even the power led is not glowing . I tried giving a static ip, my system identified it as a private network and this weird led glowing pattern was still there. i've been hooked up to this problem for nearly a month and i've tried all sorts of counter measures, in vain.

is it the modem's problem again (strange to see the power led off and the modem still work) or does it have anything to do with my system.. kindly help me out guys, i am totally clueless...

For UT300R2U Please check my signature link
Probably your line is faulty/intermittent etc.
To confirm this we need some "blood test" results of the modem.
    Procedure :
    In your browser type 192.168.1.1
in the window type admin and password admin
In the menu appearing on left
    select Statistics
    ADSL
Upload the page as a screen shot (JPG) annexure here.
or post these results : ( In bracket examples )

    Mod mode:_______________( ADSL2+)
    SNR D/L U/L _ ______ _____(14 23 )
    Attn D/L_ U/L___________ ( 32 18)
    2.
Ensure you have connected all telephones /s only AFTER
the ADSL splitter. If not possible use additional ADSL splitter . in each room for the telephone. extension ( max 3 or 4 telephones )

    1. Check your splitter. Make sure that all connections come after splitter.

    2. Post your SNR and attenuation values.
