I have not been following the blog since I posted the issue but it was imperative that some day another user would have similar problem. Ok now I suggest you to go to your city Broadband Department. Show them the records having error and possibly your daily usage as well highlighting the error. They will ask for hourly usage from the Head office. That should solve your problem. Remember online communication is not just sufficient as it is extremely slow and you should know whom to talk as very few people in the department would have the required knowledge and IQlevel. You should be clear in what you are saying and don't be absurd. If someone tries to tell you why you use internet so much, give them a jaw breaking answer. I know BSNL people are lousy but I am sure that at the end of the day you would get justice. I am afraid your problem would not get solved till you have the bill in your hand but try to get the letter of refund or any such document from the authority before the bill comes which would relax you.
Step 1:Go to Broadband department and try to explain the problem in simple terms+ Also lodge an online complaint to your nodal officer.
Step 2:Take the letter or any document admitting technical error on BSNL's part and the amount of refund to be granted.
Step 3: Go to Accounts officer and explain him the problem and provide him the documents as proof. And pay the balance amount.
*REMEMBER DOCUMENT EVERYTHING" AND we are always here to help you so if you have any other query, ask it.
Hope your problem gets solved as soon as possible. But in future look for other ISP options or unlimited plan as I am not sure that taking risks again and again would be a good idea.
Also forgot to tell you don't burn your eyes and time. Prefer unlimited plan for ease and peace of mind. You will be able to download more than what you are currently being able to download........Take good decision.

@essbebe.
i checked my usage stats just now. the usage logs for the days 23,24 are proper, the night unlimited usage is not being counted in the "Usage Excluding Night Unlimited" and the time periods of the logs are ok. But there is no change in the usage for 21st/22nd![]()
Hope the A.O is convinced and waives off the charges.
I think usually, the A.O's get only the
Summary data, every month as shown on top
and they prepare the bill accordingly.
If you can, make an excel copy.
Feedback later the results.
I also noticed the same issue where it is showing about 1.8 gb of usage on the 21st when I haven't used the net at all during that period since I have two connections. However since I am still below the limit of 2.5 gb it's not a problem as far as billing is concerned.
Today the local Customer care executive told me that they have waived off extra charges. Nearly 8 months after the complaint was lodged. However, they calculated the waiver at prevailing rates rather than the rates at which I was charged. Further absent mindedness of BSNL. Anyways, its not an issue now as I can get it corrected. Result of persistence I guess.
Please keep fighting if you are right.
Thanks specially to essbee for regular response and support.
It was all fine before they started self care ****. Thats why I had to change my plan to 750 ul. You would better disconnect at 1.55 am and reconnect at 2.05 am.
