Hello Forum,
I am a regular BSNL Broadband user(500 combo night unlimited plan)[/SIZE] for the last three years and I never used to have a problem with usage checking but since the time they have introduced this selfcare......portal, I have found it increasingly difficult to check my broadband usage. However with a few tools like Shaplus, networx and bsnl usage check utility I have kept a tab on my daily usage.
But today in afternoon when I checked my daily usage through Bsnl utility it showed that I had used excessively upto 2000MBs. I went to the portal and I found the same thing there. When I was checking the portal records I realized that the records are showing normal usage except on 09/01/2010. It showed usage on 09/01/2010 of 2256MBs. The problem is that on that particular day it had counted a total usage for 24 hours from 15:27 to next day's 15:27. This means that they did not discount my night usage from 2am to 8am during which I use bittorrent for downloading.
When I did check ntwrox and shaplus utility , I found out that they have indeed made a mistake and it is technical error on their part. My daily usage before 2am was 70 MB and between 2am to 8am it was around 2000MB.
Now I am going to register a complaint with the Bsnl authorities and see what happens.
However i have posted my situation on this forum to know whether anyone else has been having similar problems. Plus I also feel that Bsnl has been creating problems intentionally to force users to change plan to one of their unlimited plans. I have noticed that this 500 combo plan is highly popular among Bsnl Broadband users. What do you say about my situation or what steps should I take and what do you think about Bsnl policies. Please give some of your precious time to this post. I will be highly thankful.........................
