Unhappy DSL-G604T Router Connects by Ethernet as well as Wi-Fi but cannot open Internet pages

    Hello,

I have a BSNL Broadband with originally BSNL supplied Huawei MT800 Modem and the connection works fine with the Ethernet cable.

I am now in the process of installing a D-Link DSL-G604T modem with Ethernet as well as Wi-Fi connection. I have followed the procedure given below and am apparently getting connected to the modem by both Ethernet as well as Wi-Fi, however, I am not able to open any Internet page by the web browser using the D-Link modem, although I can quite easily open the pages using the Huawei Modem.

Could anyone help me to further configurate the D-Link Modem to access the web pages?

Thanks in advance for your help....

    1Post your ipconfig/all data.

2.What is the error message shown in wireless network page ?

    3. Try connecting LAN cableRJ45
from Modem to Lan1 of G604T instead of WANport

Default D-link DSL G604T settings for BSNL Dataone - screenshots

    Hello essbebe,

Thanks very much for your reply.

In order to give all the information, I thought it would be best to give it to you in pictorial form. Therefore I made
various screenshots of the router configuration and error and other messages as they appear on my screen and there are also two photos of the front and back view of the modem/router as it appears when connected. I put all these in the attached ZIP file.

As you can see I am using a regular RJ-45 cable for connection.

The configuration which I have done are those as given by Ozdesi but it appears my modem is slightly different from the one used by ozdesi.

Awaiting further advice on correct configuration....

in CONNECTION 1.JPG change vpi/vci from 8/35 to 0/35 .. you vpi value should be 0 not 8 .. and once you setup ppoe mode.. you dont have to use the dialer as you have shown in connection through wan ..... .jpg .. by the way , i liked the way you posted screenshots etc , im sure it would be easier for members here to help you out better.. good job..
