Question 1 PC on the network does not connect to Internet

I have 4 PC's on the network. They run on Win XP and have Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 loaded. All of them are wired connected to the IBall Ibaton Router.

3 PC's connect well to the internet and 1 won't connect, it gives me the 678 error.

I have a BSNL 1 GB usage connection. I am using the Bridge mode so only 1 PC connects at a time thru the dialer made on each of the PC.

The connection map is as below :

Bsnl Line Via Splitter ----> BSNL White Modem----> IBall IBaton Router------> to 4 PC's wired connection.

The solutions that I have tried are as below :

    1.
Formatted the disk 4 times. After formatting it may work for a couple of times but than it stops again.

    2.
Changed the cable from the PC to the Router

    3.
    Tried a different Lan Card.

    4.
Also did the routine of ip release and renew and also removed and recreated the winsock.

    5.
Tried connection thru this PC from another node on the router and also took the CPU to a place where there was a working connection and tried connecting thru that cable and still no go.

The only time it works is when it is formatted and that too for a couple of times and after that again it gives the same problem.

    Pl Help!!!!!!!

    formatted 4 times ( Updated sp1 sp2 sp3 ????)
( above error usually incorrect ID PW)

    QUERY:
Network setttings LAN Icon. Status/ what is the error message.

    QUERY:
Iball Baton 4 port lan model :Mention Number.
Also details of BSNL "white" modem
    SUGGESTION:

Why not try "Always On" mode and avoid frequent connect/disconnect cables from router/desktops.
    Enable DHCP in modem.

    Default 678 error

There are in all 4 PC's and all are running Win XP Professional SP2. 3 are connecting to internet one won't connect.

LAN icon is fine no issues with that.

    BSNL modem is WA3002-G1 & THE FIRMWARE VERSION IS 2.7.0.31 ( RUE0.C1)3.5.10.0

Have tried Always on but still No Go.

DHCP is enabled in the Modem.

Have tried connecting directly to the modem but still no go.

The I baton is working fine there is no issue with that it seems.

The 8 port I baton Switch Model No. is iB-LGDS18E

Thanks for taking the trouble to give the feedback.
    Solution is strange and baffling.
that you have to change PORT in Bsnl end.
Did the BSNL staff/give any explanation ?
