i though it was totally different isp from mumbai when i tracert youtube.com it connects via vsnl ips.

VSNL -- is videsh sanchar nigam ltd. own by TATA . Before 2000 IT WAS DOT -- Department of communication and after 2000 it is splited in VSNL ,MTNL (mumbai & delhi) and BSNL
VSNL (TATA) and Bharti are internation gateway -- Any international website has to go thro' international gateway
