Lightbulb Online BB Plan Change / New Connection- BSNL link

    Hi All,
Just landed on this link UDAAN BSNL where you can register for New Connection for BSNL BB as well as You can change your BB Plan online for all circles!!!!

I have seen these links are active in other circle's home site viz. Bangalore Telecom

    1. From the main page, click on the link at the bottom of the page "Register for New Land Line/Broad Band/ 3G DATA CARD /WIMAX ...etc" and it will open up a form for you and you will get all Circles mentioned along with Plan change details!!!

    OR

    2. you can directly open this link BSNL AT YOUR DOORSTEP

    OR

    3. Go to this link BROADBAND PLAN SELECTOR
    - 3.1. Select your circle and other details
    - 3.2 On the basis of above details, it will show you available plans
    - 3.3 Now select Change Plan or Get Plan (New Connection)
    - 3.4 The link mentioned in Option 2 will open up a form with Circle, Plan details pre-filled. You have to only fill up details specific to your connection.

I think Option 3 is the best one but Any one used this link before can of course help us more on this!!!!

Today morning only, I had to go to Kolkata BSNL office Ballygunge and apply for a BB Plan change through written application and now I am seeing this link!!!

Isn't this what we have been praying for?

    Cheers,
    Roy

Knowing BSNL, it is not wise to apply online. It may take ages for them to take action. Better give a written request at your exchange.

Yess..that is the apprehension but I have read in some other thread in this forum, user in Bangalore/Chennai applied online and got the plan changed in 3 days!

Now that is something but I just came across this link so thought to clarify it here in case some one is benefited in future.

    Arpit,
For Option 1 and 2, I think that problem exists. Try out option 3 - thats the right one!

Users may wait for some more time as this Udaan project is meant for BSNL staff ( in all circles ) to implement.
Log in PW meant only for BSNL staff.

    Not working for me too..

the 3rd option is the best one for sure but then it doesnt give any options in the "Area" field.

I guess its still in the testing phase.

I used UDAAN to apply for a new connection and within 2days I recd a call from BSNL local person informing that hew would be coming give me the for and collect the documents. I also recd the SMS stating the name of the person who would be contacting me, along with his number.

The person was very polite while speaking.

I have not yet called that person, as I am trying to get a reliance connection.

I never thought that BSNL will call so soon.

BTW: Site works normally in IE it doesn't work in Mozilla or Chrome.

As told by Neogen, the site works in IE with the form opened in Option3 having the Area details correct, I checked myself.
For Calcutta Telephones, area South, it is listing the correct pin codes!
So I believe this Udaan is active!

Try talking to the SDE. If your plan change is effective and it is UL, you will get "zero" in the chargeable units column.

    .
Can you compare the web site page/s "My Orders"
of your Home connection and Office connection ?
See Insert picture in post No 22.
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/attach...my-orders1.jpg

As "udaan " site is recently introduced, more feed back awaited.

    Please clarify
whether you had to fill up the full form and then select Change of plan.

    STEP START :
    http://udaan.bsnl.co.in/lead_input_f...plan_id=LP_130
(1)Fill up the form as if you are asking for a new connection.
    (2)Select in "TYPE of Lead"
    "Plan Change " option
    (3)
Then click left side "Help me to choose BEST Plan"
    Page 2 opens
    http://210.212.169.201/erp/bbplan.php?action=N
    Select "Change of plan"
    (4)
    Back to main form.
If any Box is filled wrongly you may get error window message.

    (5)
Check next day In "MY Orders" page of self care site.

    Feedback please.
will chat with the BSNL staff. See post No 25.

Now bsnl is ONLINE selfcare portal is directly connected to the system when you apply online through selfcare then it is same thing that bsnl employee do after receiving your application. So it is only very very less time for online plan change .

But if you are having Old BB(P2) connection then it takes time.

I don’t intend to steel someone’s thread but my question is on the same line so here it goes...
I want to change by BB Tariff plan online. I am able to login to my portal AhTTP:selfcare.ndc.bsnl.co.in/irj/portal
    My present plan is BB-RURAL-USO-150-MONTHLY
and want to change to BB-RURAL-USO-250-MONTHLY
but it is not listed. Whereas BB-HOME-250-MONTHLY is very much there. (Please note that there is difference between the two [Rural & Normal]
    Ahttp w w w . bsnl . co.in/service/new_BB/Rural_USOF_BB.htm --> Rural USOF BB Plans ( Limited & Unlimited) for Rural Home & All Rural

Ahttpw w w . bsnl . co. in/ service/new_BB/BB_Standalone_lim.htm --> Normal BB COMBO Plan for Home & Business Users with Limited Usage

Now I am bit confused, If I opt for BB-HOME-250-MONTHLY I may be denied the facilities provided in BB-RURAL-USO-250-MONTHLY i.e 1.5 GB monthly and 100 Free Calls and no Fixed Monthly rent...

    What should I do ?

    Thanks.

IF you are a rural user stick to RURAL plans.
If you need higher speed from Urban plans you cannot claim benefit of Rural plans.

Better check here. As Nomenclature of most plans are changed lot of confusion by users.
    URBAN : BBG250 speed 2 Mbps etc
RURAL: BB RURAL COMBO 250 speed 512 Kbps etc
    http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/new_BB/Rural_USOF_BB.htm
    Udaan site RURAL plan listed.
Select options like this for full list.
RURAL 200-500 upto 3 GB 256 Kbps NU: NO.

    Thanks everybody for the help.

At my end (Pathankot Punjab Circle) I think nobody attends to the project Uddan, cause my request leads are still there pending for the last two months.

Anyhow I found the required plan. It was available only when I opted for combo & business simultaneously. I selected it and when I checked the pending request section, my request was enforced (provisioned) then itself means, my BB plan was changed to BB 250 instantly.

Now my concern is, "Is is it so spontaneous, so quick ?".

With a few days left for the end of the month, should I assume that I would be wasting 500 MB if don't use them ? (The new plan gives me 1.5 GB out of which 1 GB is already used-up )

    Thanks once again.

    My present plan is BB-RURAL-USO-150-MONTHLY
NO NU 100 free CALLS 1.5GB ( RUral plans )
when I opted for combo & business simultaneously
my BB plan was changed to BB 250 instantly.
[BBG250] No free calls 1GB No NU speed upto 2 mbps ( ( Home & Business standalone plans)

Use correct name. If you have opted for Urban Tariff plan, you made a mistake.

BBG Rural Combo 250 this is correct. confirm.
No business plans for RURAL USO.
Check in your Usage portal Order No. Plan name effective date.
    wait....
See Post No 39 for screen shot.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but when I wrote "my BB plan was changed to BB 250 instantly" I meant it was changed to "BB-HOME-250-MONTHLY"
Here are the screen shorts :
    Service Requested :

    Attachment 8673

    Order Completed Instantly :

    Attachment 8671

    Details there after :

    Attachment 8672

Today I approached Local Exchange Customer Care. They confirmed that the system is fully computerized now. There is a instant change in plan, if done by the user through the portal ID. BSNL have improved a lot

    Thanks one and all.

Thanks for the feedback, and nice one from a new member.
    Rep++ (21points ) from me .
    Check your USERCP

    2. Usage for 21 days : 1 GB/month ( plan......150)
    Usage for 10 days 1.5GB /month ( plan.......250)

Total for month ; 1024*2/3= approx 680 MB
    1536/3 = approx 512 MB
Total day usage free allowed ; ........... 1200 MB say
Broadband rental also in same ratio. Rs 100+80=approx Rs 180/=

Thanks Big Brother for the information, but please can you elaborate it more clearly. You are very much trying to help my Maths starved mind to understand that, how much will I be charged, and how much Data is left for my usage. Right ?
Here lets see it step by step..
    A)
    1) BB-Rural-150 plan for 21 days .... BB charges + Rental = ...... ?
    2) BB-Rural-250 plan for 10 days..... BB Charges + Rental = .......?
    Total = ..............?
    B) 1) BB-Rural-150 plan for 21 days ...Bandwidth already used 1 GB.
    2) BB-Rural-250 plan for 10 days ...Bandwidth left ......... ?

    Thanks.

    1.
    Broadband excess Usage :
You have to see the Summary column , which shows
Total Usage ( less Night usage) (if any) and subtract
approx 1200MB as your free day quota for the full month.
    Check in your Usage portal.

    2.
    Broadband Rent :
Broadband rental for the full month on proportionate basis already given in earlier post.

    3.
    Calculations
given as advance information, and cannot say how A.O(TR) will prepare the bill.
If the plan is changed on 1st of each month, complicated advanced mathematics ( college level?) will NOT be required !!!!,
    Imagine
what will happen if user changes plan every week now !!!
I will fail in all the tests here !!!!
someone has to write a new program for the computer.

    Wait for the bill.
    In the meantime download NetworX

    http://softperfect.com
and keep track of your usage for a single system.

    Question

Have anyone used this online option >> UDAAN PROJECT -- BSNL to get plan changed in Chennai....

Under Dropdown Option > Select SSA/District * there is no option for Chennai Circle.
