Default BSNL BroadBand Tariff revised, Home 500 kicked out

    For Existing Customers -

As per the below circular Old plans shall continue for existing customers.

    But the worrying part is

" Efforts may be made to migrate these customers to other plans "

BSNL has revamped its Tariffs structure and kicked out some of the plans which were popular some sector especially night unlimed (Home 500 with 2.5 GB free download limit)

However usage charges have been moderately reduced

PS: the plans are effective from 01-02-2011 only

This is Offically inner Office circular. Got it from a Bsnl employee.

Wow! I just applied for BB Home UL1350 yesterday and now as per the excel from 1st Feb, it will be 4 mbps upto 20GB and thereafter 512kbps!

How much time will it take to download 20GB?
With upto 2mbps line, I could download around 4GB of data from RS in 6 hrs.
By that count, with 4mbps line, it will take 3 hrs for 4GB and hence, give me 4 days, my 20GB limit is gone and I am left with 512kbps line!!!!

I added my small bit of rep for you!

Home 500 is not kicked out. The plans you gave in the excel are the Unlimited plans which will be applicable from 1st Feb i guess. Home 500 will still be there with the night unlimited option.

i feel the old customers would remain , but new connections on H500 may not be given anymore
slowly they may shift out the old users to other plans by some offer mechanisms

Its up on the BSNL website: h t t p ://w w w .bsnl.co.in/service/new_BB/BB_COMBO_Unlim.htm (remove gaps from http and www)

what is the difference between BBG Combo ULD 1350 and BB Home Combo ULD 1350? They have difference in speeds (4Mbps and 2Mbps for first 20gb).
And how do i find out which plan i am on? i am still getting the same old512 Kbps speed.

link to BB Home Combo ULD 1350 on the same website: h t t p ://w w w .bsnl.co.in/service/new_BB/BB_home_only_unlim.htm (remove gaps from http and www)

    @albin16
    simply omit http://www.
    bsnl.co.in/service/new_BB/BB_home_only_unlim.htm
    bsnl.co.in/service/new_BB/BB_COMBO_Unlim.htm
Easy to copy/paste in address bar. browser adds http etc.

Use the Insert icon ( Yellow above )
    see this link also.
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/comput...tml#post315289 (Monitor Screen Shot)
Magic Screen shot application working fine.

At least its better than Airtel, wherein you land to 256 speed from 4MBps..

I am liking BSNL's BBG ULD 2150 plan... 1 Mb speed till 150GB.
