Thread: WA3002G4 Utstarcom wifi modem not working on lan

Hi,

I am having bsnl WA3002G4 type II modem and i found a problem that it is not working on Lan (RJ45) but it is working in wireless mode.

Earlier I am using this through wireless only becasue at that time i am having only laptop.

Now i bought PC at home but able to connect internet.

I have earlier Type I modem so i connected to PC, but now laptop is not connected through wifi.

I checked cables and i think no issue because same cable working in Type I modem. even i bought many from my office, but no use.

pl suggest.

1. Configure you modem in PPPoE.

2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

3. In the TCP/IP properties of connection in both laptop and PC, set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

I have earlier Type I modem so i connected to PC

(1)working Fine. Mention modem make/number.
(2)WA3002_g4: Desktop not working in LAN.
(3)_ do---- : Laptop working in WIFI mode.

Test :
(a)Go back to condition (1)
(b)Remove from computer end Rj45 and connect to
LAN1 of WA3002_g4.
(c)Use another Rj45 cable for desktop.
(d)Check Desktop gets connected to Internet.
(e) Check Laptop works in WIFI mode.
(f)Copy/paste data here.
