    Mine home 750. Chennai.
    Test twice the speed.

    You can have a graph also for different readings.

    @ihatebsnl
    Copy/Paste ipconfig /all
    Only for LAN. No tunnel data. delete. ( if seen )
    try
    tcp/ip optimizer from speedguide.net.
    Select optimal values.
    Change dns to 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220
    in modem ( Advanced options DNS)
    feedback.

    It is not a problem with our our internal configuration....thers something wrong with theBSNL...it all started yesterday after the new revised plans were said to be effective....
    yesterday @ 10PM D/Lspeed dropped to 10kBps for no reason....today morning it was fine running at 70KBps...now again it has dropped down..
    it feels the speeds are being limited..the speed just hovers around 9.5~9.7~9.5..as if they had set a limit to 10...this for torrents...

    this test shows otherwise

    PS:Negative on the direct download..i just d/led a file and i got around 70KB/s using IDm..however Utorrent speed remains the same 9~10.... and it is not my messed up conf...morning it was perfectly fine..what do you think?

    @ceasar

    Please Avoid using full "quote" from previous post.

    Did you follow the suggestions, or give feedback asked for, other
    than a speed test result. ( Example tcp/ip optimizer mentioned.)
    say "I don't want to try it "
    or "tried no improvement?"
    "not needed in my system as speed Ok "
    " Don't think DNS changes will help" etc.

    It will help other member/s to suggest something else.
    2.
    Have you done Port forwarding for torrents?
    Bittorrent / utorrent etc.
    http://www.johntp.com/2006/04/19/how...s-of-utorrent/
    Check Guide in "Broadband How to.... " forum here.

    ^ with all due respect,i've already said that there is no problem with the configuration and settings..and iam no newbee .
    i am using namebench to find out the best DNS server.
    i don't think TCP/Ip optimizer gonna help...i haven't used it earlier and i used to get good speeds..neither i have done portforwarding because i was on bridge mode.

    regarding ipconfig/all here it is

    NOTE:i am using PPPoverEthernet mode while this data is retrieved.

    From this June, UL 750's speed has been upgraded to 512 Kbps from 256 Kbps. There was a promotional offer in which new connections would get 15 days 2 Mbps unlimited. That scheme is no more in existence and there is no way to get 2 Mbps in UL 750.

    Go to speedtest.net, perform a speed test and post the Forum Link. Also try a download from Microsoft and check the speed.
