How do you connect now to Internet ?
    Using modem compex MRL21E?
    ( same as Beetel220BXI or Ut300r2U)
    (a) In "Dialer" mode login entering UserId/PW in computer window. ?
    (b) System gets connected to Internet when desktop and modem switched on
( Called "always On" PPP/PPPoE mode.
Your Userid and PW stored in WAN page of modem )
    STEP 1 :
To use wifi mode you have to be in mode (b)

Enable DHCP in lan page and enter 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10
    Confirm.
See screen shots ( less wifi settings) in wa 3002-g4 link below.
    for compexRL21E( almost similar pages)

    Step 2:
Any Installation cd received ? Wizard option ?
    http://i53.tinypic.com/1rdnd1.jpg INSERT deleted.
    http://i53.tinypic.com/1rdnd1.jpg
    on feedback.

    Step 3 :
Setup in laptop for wifi Wireless LAN settings.
    Mention OS vista/Xp/windows 7 etc.

    STEP 8 old Step 2 .
    Check laptop in LAN mode.
    (a) connected to Internet YES NO

Does your laptop has a similar rj45 port?
Have you created a LAN connection same way done in desktop ?
    Then consider laptop as desktop
    and
    WITHOUT ANY CHANGES IN MODEM
connect to Laptop. ( remove from desktop end )
