Default weird LAN problem BSNL wifi router

    hi,

i had to change my bsnl modem and the new modem fails to connect to my desktop LAN

whenever i plug in the LAN cable from my desktop .. the internet led gets turned off and the DSL starts blinking ....

I dont think its my modem's fault because i can browse normally using my laptop .. (both wifi and LAN)

so somethings wrong with my desktop

i've added a new LAN card .. thinking something was wrong with my onboard LAN

changed the LAN cable ..thinking something was wrong with the cable

even Reinstalled windows xp .. but the problem remains...

can soemone please help me ??

    Default

    Mention modem/model/make/number.
    (Old modem Glb802C : new modem ?)
    TEST :
(1)try USB port option if available.

(2)try in a different PCI slot the ethernet card.

    (3) In Computer
    Start/ network LAN
    Network settings page
On top check ethernet card "configure'
enabled ? advanced. check other options.
    Copy/Paste ipconfig /all data
