Thread: DHCP problem UtStarCom WA3002G4 -When PPPoE is chnaged to Bridge

Hi All,

I dont know whether it was asked/discussed earlier. Also I wasn't interested in turning on wifi on my router. My new mob forced me to do that... I noticed a issue since then.

For security reasons I have modified PPPoE (default) WAN to Bridge mode and was connecting thro' PC (no issues). DHCP was not available and ip was manually configured.

When turning on wifi and connecting to modem via wifi on my mobile, it said connection unsuccessful. Even though I have provided alternate ip configuration in my mobile, it was not connecting...

Is there a way to enable DHCP when in bridge mode.

Is there a way to enable DHCP when in bridge mode.

Did you try In Advanced options/LAN page ?
Option box greyed ?not available ??

Option A :
IF OS is Windows 7
Download "Connectify" and install in system,
connected in Lan mode. Must have a wifi wlan adapter.( probably built in laptop )
Your laptop will become Wireless Access Point. ( Range limited)

Option 2 :
TRY:
In "Bridged" "dialer" mode
Enable wifi and enter MAC address of your systems.
Use security key.
