    Exclamation BSNL Broadband Problem

    Hi guys ,

I am facing a very wierd problem. I am not able to open any website other than google using always on BSNL Broadband.
I am using Beetel 110BX1 modem. When i switch to bridged mode the speed improves and I am able to surf every website without any trouble.
I am confused whether i will get full speed if i purchase a new WiFi modem.
    Please help.

RESET modem ( with power on for 20 to 30 seconds)
Check whether you can connect when In "Bridged" mode
    ( default factory settings )

    Then Try "Always On" mode.
One possibility Firewall enabled in modem or
    Check access control page also.
    Also MTU value 1492.

see my sigature n link Beetel220BX and consider a FW update
    at your own risk !
    Feedback.

    Hi guys,
Thank you for replying. Well i have tried resetting the modem but to no avail. The Firewall is also disabled and the MTU is 1492 indeed. This is a spare modem that I am using, the one I got from BSNL is not working properly now as it turns off and On automatically after every 5 mins. Is it the modem issue or the adapter is faulty??
The BSNL modem is DNA - A211-I Type 4 wifi modem. Ironically it works amazingly well on Always on. So I am confused why the beetel modem is giving me trouble.
    Your help is truly appreciated.

if the spare adopter has similar voltage adopter, you can swap
BUT ensure the polarity like center pin positive etc

If the spare modem is out of warranty, logically a dry solder in the power section of the modem.
With careful handling, perhaps any service techie can set it right for you.I mean, he need not even touch other sections, except cleaning the dust as he opens and attend power section. generally it derives 5V and 3.3V inside by using chips like MC34063A or LM1117-3.3

    "your risk" is always there.
