Thread: 192.168.1.1

When i type 192.168.1.1 in internet explorer, config page does not display. "page cannot display" error is coming. But in other browsers like chrome, firefox etc. Page displays well and i could configure modem.

Problem is with IE only. Why????

any proxy settings you might be using in IE ?
if yes do not use proxy.

1.Reset the internet explorer.or use google chrome
2.Restart the machine
3.Restart the modem
3.Ping 192.168.1.1
..then try to connect...

Problem sudden and recent ? If so, try a System Restore.
Mention IE version used.

MY I E version IS 8. WHEN I PING 192.168.1.1 IN CMD IT PINGS POSITIVELY.
AS ADVISED BY YOU, I CHECKED THE ABOVE SITE AND FOUND THAT I HAVE DYNAMIC IP ADDRESS.
I AM RAISING THIS ISSUE JUST TO GET TO KNOW THE TECHNICALITIES IF ANY AND TO KNOW IF ANY SETTINGS TO BE CHANGED IN IE. OTHERWISE I HAVE NO PROBLEM IN CONFIGURING MY MODEM THROUGH
CHROME or FIREFOX.

Please avoid full post capital letters.
Did you get a screen like this when you typed your IP ( In IE8)
(Dynamic address, which will change every time you connect /disconnect)

I am getting the authentication screen in chrome & Firefox but not in IE 8

192.168.1.1 no access in IE ( Ok in Firefox and Chrome )
BSNL OK :Modem OK: 2 Browsers OK
suspect OS registry for IE8

Create a System Restore Point.

Download winsockxpfix application and apply.
Some Registry entries may be corrupt in OS for IE.

Check all browsers again IE/Chrome/FireFox.
